Slow Living in the Scriptures
This year we want to encourage you to make knowing God in His Word your greatest pursuit. Life isn’t always slow - especially when you’re in a season of caring for littles, managing a home, helping your husband and serving in all the ways God has called you to serve.
Holiness is the goal - and the more we slow down not just for the sake of slowing down, but to be in God’s Word, meditating, praying and studying the Scriptures, we will grow in godliness and more like Christ, if we are in Christ.
We invite you in 2026 to create the time in your day to slow down with God’s Word. You can let this week be a planning time, as you decide what you will set in place to support you to go deeper in the Word and in communion with God.

I’ll share a bit of what nourishes my spiritual life and things I plan on using to support my time in the Word this coming year:
For a daily Bible Reading Plan, I love the M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan to stay on schedule and know I’ll finish the whole Bible in a year.
This year, for the first time, I’m going to use Reformation Heritage Books In The Word Journals, beginning with the Psalms. Each Journal includes a thematic in
If you’ve ever wondered what it means to systematically read and study the Bible or felt intimidated by it and didn’t know where to begin, you can use Harvey Newcomb’s Bible Study Guide (1850) written to young ladies, that I made into a printable PDF download with worksheet pages. If you need a good Study Bible, my favorite is The Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible.
If you would like to listen to some of my favorite books that bring you closer to Christ, I created an audiobook Library you can listen to. Whenever you need a sweet Gospel reminder and to have your affections stirred for the Lord, HeartCry Missionary, Ryan Bush, creates Gospel Portions that have truly been a blessing in my life.
